2015 Mercedes Benz Sprinter with Crosswind Assist FIRST DRIVE REVIEW & Factory Behind the Scenes

MotoMan drives the 2015 Mercedes Benz Sprinter van on closed circuit in Germany at speed to test a unique tech feature: Crosswind assist – a system to keep the tall vehicle from behind blown around by strong wind. While there, we go behind the scenes at one of the rare car factories located in a major city and preview Mercedes’ coming second US plant . . .

I’ve been driving sprinters for 10 years and they’ve all been the big 3500 dully. I’ve never had a problem with wind. Mine now hasn’t had traction control or abs for 3 years. so I do wish I could just turn it all of on the new sprinter. Once you go with out its much more comfortable to not have it

IceDree says:

First of all if i had more than 7 children, something is seriously wrong with me lol but anyway, for a big van i suppose I’ll go with one of the GMC Savanna Starcraft conversions … That or I’ll find me an old Ramvan & “rehabilitate it”

as always M, excellent video

MrCarGuy20 says:

I would wholeheartedly embrace a V-Klasse as a daily-driver if I needed to. Sell It here already, Daimler! I don’t want the work version (Metris)!

Elizabeth Cherry says:

If I had a family and money I would try to bring over a Peugeot van from France, or just get a full size Ram van which is similar. Personally I would rather see the Peugeot name stuck on my van then the name Ram, but anyways I love that family of vans which includes one made by Fiat

MrVnick1 says:

When ever the whole family needs to go out I usually take out the hoarse and carriage.

Omair Khanzada says:

I think in the Sprinter, the braking is what is used in the Crosswind Assist. However, in the S-Class and other Active Hydraulic Body Control cars (ABC) they use the clever suspension to counter the effect of crosswind.
