Audi A4 launch: Product manager Katie Purcell talks about tech features

The latest A4 is stuffed to the gills with technology. As well as safety features such as collision warning, cross traffic assist and active lane assist you can also connect your smart phone to the car’s onboard infotainment system for everything from reading out text messages to playing music from your Spotify account.

Damn she has the most boring, monotone voice! She sounded as bored as I was and she getting paid to use that crap! I take it it also has an emulator on it which allows you to play video games while driving? Blow me, what a complete and utter waste of space all that crap is! its a car! Its not an arcade machine! Bloody Hell! All you want is a radio, not all that BS! What is the bloody point? Also, how much would that cost if anything goes wrong with it? Those dashes can be dangerous. If the software goes US then you could lose everything. Stupid, pathetic idea! Thank god for my 1970’s Vauxhall Viva!

Question I have for those who bought this car – how easy is it to use those touch controls while driving? It seems you have to be stopped to change any of the controls. Is that correct? Thanks.

if you use the apple maps, does that show on the cockpit or will that only show navigation on google earth? if apple maps does not show that means you could have two maps running at the same time? correct?

What is the difference between this version of MMI and the SD card-based MMI? All demos show the car with the tech package.
