Preview Demo for May Launch of Audi Connected Car System in Frisco, Texas

In this video, Traffic Technology Services Inc. Chief Marketing Officer Kiel Ova demonstrates connected car technology on the streets of Frisco, Texas. The countdown timer on display on the Audi’s dashboard notifies drivers of impending traffic light control changes, by displaying a traffic light icon in advance of a traffic control signal change. The display also counts down the time remaining until the signal turns green. It works this way: 2017-model-and later Audis equipped with the automaker’s Audi Connect feature pull up to a traffic light, automatically communicating data with Frisco’s traffic control system, which then transmit that information to the cloud; one of the parties that received the info, Audi, further processed that information and sent it back to its cars in Frisco. Roughly 100 intersections in Frisco, Texas, have received connected car upgrades. The technology has been installed in hundreds of intersections in Las Vegas.
