Christopher Daniels says:

Gamecocks suck again.. is all I’m hearing.

Doc Brown says:

Unless Bentley settles down at the beginning of games, it is going to be a long season. He seems to get too excited and when that happens, the interceptions come. He is capable of breathtaking accuracy and great decision making under pressure, but he gets too jacked up early on, especially in big games. I am beginning to think that a two QB system might be something to at least consider. Put in Michael Scarnecchia for the first two series and then let Bentley come in if Scarnecchia can’t get things going. Don’t misunderstand, I think Bentley is a good kid. Can’t fault his effort, or his sportsmanship (last years UT game was a wonderful example) – I just want him to settle down early.

The Georgia game got out of hand early. Take away the pick six early and the whole complexion of the game changes. USC might get by with getting behind early with Vandy, UK or Coastal Carolina, but at Clemson or UF, it will be a tall order to go down and have to fight back – especially as the visiting team. The defense is talented, but young and a tad undersized. It is critical to keep them off the field by being a ball control offense. “All gas, no brakes” is a great slogan, but it is hard for the other team to score if their offense is not on the field….unless you throw a pick six.
