2019 Chevrolet Silverado – 2018 Detroit Auto Show

KBB’s coverage of the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show.

Pickup trucks dominated the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Among the biggest news makers was the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado. With new engine technology, a host of compelling models, and a lightweight make-over the 2019 Silverado is ready to take on the Ford F-150 and all-new 2019 Ram 1500.

Walter 777 says:

vwsaiphone says:

EVIL Co. says:

“TrailBoss”, really? So, childish.

dennisscipio says:

I like the swoopy side profile.

Nathan Pevie says:

Beauty truck!!!

C Steele says:

Boy this sure makes Ford and Dodge look like second rate junk. It’s almost as good looking as my Titan. 😉

guy proulx says:

It has a look only a mother could love

0ttoman says:

Why do they have to keep making them bigger and bigger??

Anton Smirnov says:

first 7 seconds gave me headache

Justin Reily says:

People who are saying this truck looks even remotely like an F-150 or a Tundra are just haters. Anyone with even a remotely functioning set of eyes will tell you that this truck bares absolutely no resemblance to either of those trucks. The headlights are very similar to what’s off of the current Tahoe/Suburban. The grille is a split design that Chevy has been using for years now. The body style itself is very similar to the Colorado, just beefed up. The shape of the tail lights is complete unique in the truck segment, no truck has tail lights that look even remotely the same. Lastly, the tailgate is stamped with the word “chevrolet” which Chevy had on their older trucks from the 50s and 60s, and even for a short period of time on the 1999-2002 design.

andy g says:

so ugly oh my lord

Blake Swan says:

Was more impressed by the Ram

Dodge really surprised me, the ram is looking sharp!

tryceo says:

Where is Zach man

StriderCX says:

Wait wasn’t Chevy all self righteous about it’s use of steel as opposed to aluminum? This is so hypocritical!

Mikey Mulhearn says:

It’s still gonna rust…

moaski says:

This Silverado truly confirms what I’ve been thinking all along: we should have never bailed GM out. This truck is not only hideous, but unoriginal. The interior downright sucks. Compared to the new RAM F-150 or even the old Tundra, this truck is a distant forth.

Kewl Boi says:

U go gmode!

jamen brooks says:

wanna be raptor

Faze_Rivera959 says:

Chevy copies Ford

Naughtysauce says:

Then new Ram blows this away, did you guys make a video about that?

CalsVidsKids says:

I can’t hear you over the sound of the new Ram pickup.

O5fordgtx1 says:

So the Chevy Fanboys was complaining about Ford using aluminum looks like it wasn’t so bad after all by the way a truck is ugly as s***

Benton Kranz says:

From the sides it reminds me of the tundra a lot. This new Silverado lost all of its character and just rounded off everything. Even the square wheel wells, it just looks like a tundra/titan mix to me. New ram looks fancy but feminine. Hope ford doesn’t follow the trend of making trucks look like cars.

best says:

Front end blows

Kevin de Leon says:

If rather have an aluminum bed than steel, it’s lighter and all you have to do is get a bed liner so that kinda defeats Chevys “a steel bed is stronger and won’t dent as easily as an aluminum bed” argument.
