Curtis I says:

dumb question, whos leading in the standings?

Jason says:

It’s a simple really. If Ferrari can’t qualify ahead of Lewis, they won’t win it for the remaining 7 races, besides Singapore.

Håvard Telhaug says:

Vettel 2017 world champion

Gertrude Perkins says:

I don’t know where this channel has come from but it’s fucking shite. First I see a video offering an in depth look at how the shield is going to be tested at Silverstone which was uploaded weeks AFTER silverstone and had TWO sentences in the entire thing, and now they’re asking if the team that is currently winning in both the drivers and constructors championships half way into the series is a match for Mercedes. What fucking retards run this channel???

Tristan Zipp says:

If they don’t we’re in for another snorefest for the rest of the season

Modern man UK says:

Honestly I don’t think so, which i hate saying, it’s a great car and the gap is tiny now but I believe Mercedes will prevail this year. Next. Year will be epic

Adam Khan says:

At Silverstone the ferrari were 5mph slower at the end of the speed trap going into it they were 10kph faster

El Rey Ders says:

They just need an engine upgrade ASAP

first name says:

I hope Ferrari can match up to Mercedes next race, obviously Mercedes has more power than Ferrari.

ronald karnadi says:

became contender for Mercedes right to be able to beat Mercedes 50:50 there is Hamilton on Mercedes and that is something even Vettel is hard to compete sure when you see each other race with same power, same car, at some TV show we see Vettel is much faster about 2 second faster than Hamilton but F1 is different Mercedes is a lot stronger car than any other car on F1 at this moment

Rayhan R says:

I hope vettel win 2017 F1 world championship and Ferrari win the championship too this year

Dolphino Egglet says:

Honestly, I think that Ferrari have a better overall car this year. Mercedes have been following a low-drag philosophy since 2010 and now that we’re putting on more parts this year, it may not quite work where Downforce is king.

Dave Weston says:

Aren’t they close to a couple of engine component thresholds? I’d expect at least one or two grid penalties before the end of the season if so. Mercedes are far from those threshold points, although already been penalised for changing components early.

If the Ferraris get penalised then the driver title will be neck and neck and the constructor title is likely to end up with Mercedes.

Bring Back V12 V10 V8 Engines NAO!

Marken Truu says:

Intresting, on one hand there are more power circuits coming up where mercedes will probably be faster than ferrari but, on those slower tracks like singapore and maybe Abu DABhi ( no pun intended ) Red Bull will be able to challenge Mercedes which only makes it better for Ferrari , so lets hope a great battle til the end of the year and maybe 3 – way championship battle in Abu Dabhi

TheJokerit19 says:

”Can Ferrari remain a match for Mercedes in F1 2017?” – On the Constructors’ Championship, no, but on the Drivers’ Championship, yes.

Charles Leclerc says:

Obviously!

KuostA says:

wait, why is tire temp not something that effects teams equally since it’s simply a stagnant factor they can’t change since they all are forced to choose between the same exact tires/brand/spec/options per track as everyone else? i’d appreciate some enlightenment.

MrChubib0 says:

Forza Ferrari

MCBackDraft1 says:

Ferrari has a better overall car but the Mercedes definitely still has an engine advantage. A lot will depend on Mercedes nailing the balance of their car at every race because we’ve seen the Ferrari good everywhere and Mercedes struggle at times to get their car to work.

Sumit Saurabh says:

alonso is d best …

TheBrass18 says:

Circuits where it will suit Ferrari.
1. Singapore

Circuits where it will suit Mercedes:
1. Monza
2. Belgium
3. Mexico

Circuits where the best set-up wins:
1. Brazil (with its tight and twisty in-field (Ferrari Adv) and long start-finish straight( Merc Adv))
2. Abu Dhabi ( same as Brazil)
3. Japan ( very Aero based circuit, best set-up wins)
4. Malaysia ( same as Japan)

Faik Ajeti says:

2017 best season of v6 era in my opinion. I hope Ferrari Will win the italian GP. It Will be a great season.

Benjamin T Haden says:

Bottas is the only challenger for Vettel right now, tbh Vettel and Bottas are a remake of Schumacher vs Häkkinen

Phos9 says:

Ferrari handles race fuel loads better and seems to gets its tires up to temperature faster, which makes me think Ferrari makes more downforce, perhaps with better efficiency than the Mercedes.

Peter Timowreef says:

Man oh man those animations are absolutely gorgeous. Did you have to jump through any hoops to be able to use the Ferrari and sponsor’s logos?

Marty McFLY 1985 says:

LEWIS AND BOTTAS AIM FOR 1ST AND 2ND EVERY RACE WHERE SEB AND KIMI AIM FOR 1ST ( SEB ) AND 4TH AND BELOW FOR KIMI OR 3RD AND BELOW IF AMG BREAKDOWN

Mason Clark says:

Ferrari’s experience vs Mercedes’ Raw Talent

1Carnaby says:

Since Ferrari didn’t bring too many of those upgrades b4 summer break I just really hope and think that they’ve been long planning to bring a full body aero kit that will suit the 2nd half of the season better. If Ferrari was as fast as Merc on straight then we’d see something like ez mode Button-BrawnGP year with no chance for mercedes.

Tom says:

I still think the Mercedes has the better car. Their pace at Silverstone was scary fast. Although the Ferrari has the pace advantage at the tighter circuits, in Hungary at least, Mercedes weren’t THAT far off. Singapore will go to Ferrari (or RBR? Who knows what might’ve been in Hungary for them) but I still put my bet on Merc for the constructors.

Palondrian 0906 says:

Mercedes Tracks:
Italy (we clearly saw a big Mercedes advantage, but Ferrari messed the Set-Up completely up)
Malaysia (The two straights are just too long, Mercedes can run higher downforce by still beating the Ferrari on the straight)
Mexico (same as Malaysia, Mercedes too fast on the straight as well as in the most corners… corners are too wide for Ferrari)

Ferrari Tracks:
Singapore (narrow track should suit Ferrari perfectly, Vettel needs to win. But two other teams sre going to be good there as well… Red Bull and Mercedes)

Neutral:
Belgium (Both cars had the same pace, but if both cars are as fast as each other you cannot overtake)
Japan (Mercedes has big knowledege built up over the last years in Japan. They were strong there everytime. Ferrari has really to nail the Set-Up for challenging Mercedes. But don’t forget it’s Sebs favorite track together with Singapore)
USA (The first sector should suit Ferrari but the second is Mercedes country. In the thirs they equal each other so i guess it’s going to be close)
Brazil (Every sector should suit Ferrari, but Mercedes is really strong on tracks with lots of acceleration zones and long corners)
Abu Dhabi (track temperatures should be high and the 2 and 3 sector is looking promising for Ferrari, but Mercedes was strong in Abu Dhabi everytime)

Adam Khan says:

Let me check that

Lewis have upper hand

Sam Peck says:

Ferrari for the win. I’m number 15 btw

Arvid Gruenhut says:

Jimi Best says:

Vettel will benefit from Hamilton ver. Bottas competition

Javier Fernández says:

I wish really hard I’m wrong, but I don’t think so. Let’s hope for an exciting 2nd half of the season

Adam Khan says:

They still need a little more engine power to just push the balance enough towards ferrari i think another 40bhp would be it

FaithlessEmo Racing says:

I love these graphics!

Hasan Demir Akdemir says:

See at November 26th on 14:45 GMT with Ferrari

Oh yeah almost frogot it! HELMUT MARKO SAID: “I KNOW SEB’S MENTAL STRENGHTS IN 2010 AND 2012 HE WAS BEHIND IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE SEASON BUT IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE SEASON HE WAS EVEN STRONGER AND WON THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. SO WE’LL SEE A MUCH STRONGER SEB IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE SEASON!”

Number One says:

Of course they can
