Check out my video. I found out how to bypass that with the flick of the wrist (literally).,

Did this fix the problem? God I hate passlock

Jeremy D says:

I just ordered the part as well hopefully it works for mine. However my issue is when you turn the key the engine does not turn over until it reset. I have seen other vids state that the engine turns over but will not start until it resets.

J Tee says:

So it only took two times

Amanda says:

Have you had any issues since you replaced the ignition sensor?

jamie brown says:

Just finished putting the new sensor on my 07 Hummer and the trickyist part of the job was getting the steering wheel covers off and back on. Have been having all kinds of starting and electrical issues with my Hummer and thanks to your great video I was able to fix my passlock issues relativley easily and cheap. Found the ignition switch on ebay for $65 and it only took about 30 minutes to install the sensor. Had a little trouble getting it to program but that was my fault because I wasn’t trying to start it after waiting 10 minutes each time. It is now running and starting fine now. Thanks for the great video!!!!!! says:

Has it been a permanent  fix since replacement?

Billy Nicgorski says:

easy fix if you just clean male and female connector with electrical cleaner.

Mike P says:

Reg Boss says:

You get the sensor FELETED from the ECM via the PCM from anyone that does engine tuning or from a GM dealership, it only takes a few mins, its a permanent fix!

Justin C says:

Did it fix the problem long term?
