The all-new 2018 Rio sedan and 5-door hatchback are the latest additions to the world-class Kia Motors America (KMA) model lineup. Delivering a new eye-catching design that is decidedly European, this subcompact duo will bring an exciting combination of fuel efficiency, innovative technology, advanced safety technology4, everyday convenience and fun-to-drive character to value-conscious consumers when the cars arrive at Kia retailers in the fourth quarter of this year.

“Value has always been a core tenet for the Kia brand and the all-new Rio sedan and 5-door continue to underscore our commitment to buyers looking for an entry-level vehicle but desire more than what the subcompact segment offers,” said Orth Hedrick, vice president of product planning, KMA. “This fourth-generation Rio makes significant improvements over its predecessor in design, technology and passenger comfort, resulting in an even better value proposition, while raising the bar in the small-car segment.”

icantw8 says:

2018 subcompact gets lower mpg than the 2018 midsized Accord.

AJ 佐罗 says:

Can you please review the 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT hatchback Dave?

Sandra Mccoy says:

i love the green and the car looks good

Mr. Worf says:

Funny here in Canada the EX has Climate Control standard . Still nice little car , well equipped too !

ajay atker says:

Dave could you please give us an off-road vid for highlander

Revenger4pace says:

The color is hideous but it’s a nice economy car. Shame cars are dwindling down in sales and desire for most people.

exterminate mosquitos says:

I swear modern cars get uglier every year, honestly its a bit scary

Statimtek says:

The new Rio looks like  a baby Elantra.

chuckwalla says:

These green hues were popular back in the 90’s.

VoltecRules says:

Compared to the 2017 model, the 2018 is heavier, has less power, and they replaced the rear disc brakes with lame drum brakes on the lower trim models. In my opinion it’s uglier too. What the hell happened KIA?? Fix this!!

Alex Ma says:

Really like the dashboard layout. That steering wheel especially looks pretty nice.

kin wai lao says:

It could be more beautiful if more accessories

Rondal Childers says:

That is the ugliest green I’ve ever seen. WT% were they thinking?

Brian Lawrance says:

Ugh it’s really ugly

MrNuggetface says:

Looks like they tried to make it look like a small crossover

Minhyung Kim says:

that is actually one of the nice cars, but i still don’t get that why Kia did not bring the higher trim level of Rio to America

john smith says:

I was at my local koa dealer yesterday and was kinda surprised how nice looking the new rio looks

bigbuckoramma says:

As it is always a big gripe of mine…for once…i actually LOVE the infotainment system! Clean, easy, good use of physical buttons where needed, touch where you want them, and a floating design that doesnt look like it is a TomTom glued to the dash…*ahem*…Mazda. And HVAC controls that are as simple as you like, and clearly defined.

Maybe I’m just starting to show my age, and getting to be an old man who doesnt like all them there fancy bells and whistles the whipper snappers are all about these days…but there is so much needless bloat added into most modern cars now days, and design changes made for the sake of design changes, that when i see something simple and straightforward, it is a refreshing and welcome sight.

Keep up the good work Kia.

Nodak81 says:

I’ve always liked the Rios but I particularly like having “old school” tech which is getting rarer these days. I like keys, manual climate controls, normal automatic transmissions…etc.

YTDC exposed says:

You could buy a certified Honda Civic for the same price.. why buy this?

Yeap Hong Tham says:

Dave what happens to your feet

bamac2008 says:

I don’t know how they managed to make this look older than the previous gen.. That color is beautiful btw

Vlad Saghin says:

In Canada, the base LX comes with heated seats, heated leather steering wheel, bluetooth and backup camera (but no AC) for around 15 500 $CAD. I’ve never seen such level of equipment at this kind of price point and they sure do know how to appeal to Canadian customers.

IAmAvinator says:

I was wondering if you would take the 2017 Honda CR-V off road in dry conditions to see how good the AWD system is

Mike Hunt says:

He’s bald

Jim's videos says:

Do you know if they have the threaded attach points in the gutters for a roof rack?

Noseefood says:

nice features for a $15k car + 100k warranty!

Mathew Jacob says:

Does anyone know if the new Kia Rio and the new Audi R8 had the same design studio do the climate controls? They have a striking resemblance to each other.

loyal4 the way says:

The back seat is surprisingly spacious
