He then covers other key details that set the 2018 Lexus LS 500 apart from its key competitors, the Mercedes S Class and BMW 7 Series.

Ryan Robinson says:

i will have this.

0bserver1 says:

May be rich don’t care much about money as you do, but they care more their time and resources than you do. Thus, unreliability of S class results is waste of time and mismanaged resource. Outcome: Lexus is for rich folks who highly value time and resources. S class is for rich wannabes or posers.

Fromthefuture says:

Seen the F Sport it looks so much better. And it’s that not big of a change visually… Funny ?

Joe Black says:

people think the lexus ls line is so reliable lol. join any of the LS facebook groups and you’ll see what broke down pos these REALLY are.

symmetry08 says:

Well likes – very different own approach, design is subjective. I prefer previous one. Not likes – too low and long nose. Luxury is about presence, not about how low and fast it can go. In the end, it should have retained something from previous one. I don’t see beauty of extra pane window after rear door and useless ( cameras are getting better ). So, overall, driving RX would feel better, because you seat higher ( re-member Rolls R ? ).

Walid Bougaila says:

i like the competence of the chassis, still to see how superior it would be against s class and 7 series, jaguar xj etc.. wheels and body looks very attractive, the ls is kinda special. i don’t like how it looks too modern in the front. maybe in the back too.. never saw it in person, won’t even know how it feels in the interior, tht looks very modern too.

Femi Ogunsola says:

Honestly, I am struggling with this new design for the LS.

Nick Phillips says:

Where are the fog lights?

Randy Griffin says:

I LOVE THE DESIGN, IT TRULY FLOWS…THE INTERIOR WILL TAKE SOME GETTING USE TOO, AS I’M A BMW 5 SERIES GUY. I LIKE THE WHEELS, I LOVE THE CHROME ACCENTS AND GRILL DESIGN, WHICH I WASN’T A BIG FAN OF WITH OTHER MODELS. I CERTAINLY HOPE THEY HAVE BETTER COLOR SELECTION AND INTERIOR COLOR COMBINATIONS. I WOULD DEFINITELY LEASE THIS CAR, NO DOUBT, BUT I WOULD HAVE TO TEST DRIVE IT FIRST. RGEE

Brian DeCastro says:

The side reminds me of an older model Fat Infinity.. The inside reminds me of an older model Toyota Avalon 2003… Not impressed at all.

Bobby P says:

Overall it’s a good design but I still can’t get over those over styled head lights…

Maddog8148 says:

Where’s the red shoes???

M. Karimzadeh says:

I love the way of headlamps, but it’s remind me a Persian cat with squeezed eyes! Maybe a bolder eyes is getting the car better charisma! Don’t you think?

Taylor Nicole Lofton says:

Love it

Ken Lai says:

Sleeker than the previous version but sad no more V8

Joe Black says:

wow a stretched mazda 6

Nick Dzink says:

The geometry of the body makes me wanna fap. I wish the front lights were styled someting more akin to LC500 and less NX’y.

yyyy2999 says:

Beautiful in every aspect, from the super clean engine bay, those wheels, and that little knob next to the steering wheel.

darwandoo says:

I think it’s gorgeous, the front end and grill with the lights. Best looking Lexus to date

MasterCard says:

Toyota is still 10 years behind on the engine game compared to BmW

breh breh says:

The best-looking Flagship luxury sedan. Always admire carmakers that take risks and make bold & intriguing designs. Kudos to Lexus for being bold and unique and finally stop trying to be “German” esp. with the new LS. The grille is polarizing yes but can’t deny it effectively gave Lexus much needed identity.

ealiev60 says:

now we need ISF with that engine!

Sakr Albekaa says:

MotoMan you are an excellent reviewer! I just wonder how you remember all these details about the cars you review!!!

Richard Malimix says:

That car is huge!!!

Icarus says:

Ugliest interior ever.

Christian Ørnstrup says:

I like those little interior details you highlighted (such as the new Bentley Continental GT and ‘Citroën’ DS 7 Crossback) but mostly the front 3/4.That design looks dang good. Those who buy a Mercedes to customize it… Look no further than this Lexus LS.

A Scott says:

The interior is this cars style star. The exterior looks good but the b pillar aft, I see Toyota Avalon. Anyway, good thing Lexus got out of trying to “out German the Germans” !. Be your own brand. Lexus is known for quiet, RELIABLE cars that won’t drain your wallet with repairs, even well into 200,000 miles. A more powerful V6 over a V8, cool. Honestly, how many Lexus owners are going to use half of the power and/or tech features this car has !?

MrWalker1000 says:

beats a mercedes?

edmundbenznation says:

Drooling… but I can only afford an ES

Gerry Lewis says:

How big is the trunk/boot?

Viktor Karamazov says:

vhere is all star? 🙂

KR!RK says:

Overall proportion looks a bit off. It ruined everything after that.

Rick B says:

This car is BEAUTIFUL! Interior and exterior.

David Morello says:

I love the interior (its a work of art)! but I could not own one because the exterior looks like three vehicles glued together to make one. BAD!

WOODAY3 says:

I’m telling y all Lexus and Ford are working together behind the scenes

ealiev60 says:

Love Lexus for their design! Me as a 30 yo sti and evo owner is really thinking about getting this bad boy

tseng jessica says:

Quality review as always, U deserve more view than that !!!!

Michael Nguyen says:

Not bad but resembling too much of a Toyota. I prefer BMW 7 Series, MB S-Class or Audi A8.

V.C. says:

the car is nice, the details about it are interesting, one thing though. you could put the specs on the screen each time you talk about them, it just makes it easier to follow.

Christopher Street says:

I love the front end … the rear end is quite beautiful as well … I don’t like there rear quarter panels / window section … I am simply in love with the interior … that glass detail and origami suede treatment is gorgeous and so Japanese … I am glad they are highlighting their Japanese roots here for sure

Alex MacLean says:

Huge focus in light weight…. 5100 pounds… Right lol
