The CX-5 has become a top player in the mid-size SUv segment – at least in the US

Benjamin Davis says:

What, what? …”it doesn’t look all that different.” It’s leaps and bounds better! Come on–looks like every body panel changed. They even moved the A-pillars. It’s gobs better than the 2016(.5) version or the new turbo CR-V. Hmm, maybe he simply needed to see them side-by-side. We wouldn’t have considered the previous version. Can’t wait to drive this one. It’ll prove difficult to wait for the diesel–which must arrive as a 2018?

A 2017 model coming in the spring of 2017? A promising looking vehicle but what is up with Mazda and their odd release dates …they did the same with the CX-9

Kris Mier says:

they’ve been talking about diesel since the inception of the skyactiv back in 2011/12 . Supposed to be in the 6, then in 3, now in this… I’m not holding my breath.

HW2800 says:

2.5-liter turbo-four from the CX-9 needs to be an engine option on this new CX-5!
