2018 Nissan Kicks – Review & Road Test

Nissan’s newest entry into the sub-compact SUV market comes in the form of the 2018 Kicks. Making noise in an ever-burgeoning automotive segment is no small feat for small SUVs, so with stylish good-looks, standard features normally reserved for pricier fare and tech to satisfy even eager early adopters, the Nissan Kicks hopes to make big noise.

For the latest Nissan Kicks pricing and information:

Sacto1654 says:

I think the Kicks could benefit from a more powerful engine. An updated version of the MR20DD found on Japanese market Nissans would make the Kicks a more fun car to drive.

Excalibruh says:

Hoping the 2019 model has AWD as an option

Timothy Yakich says:

How is it the KBB can get all of their narrators to deliver their lines exactly the same way?  Genius?  Irritating?  Robotic?  Weird.

novalawhp says:

Not bad looking at all.
I do wish they would just add the turbo engine to the lineup now.
I’m willing to bet they will eventually, just like they did with the Sentra.
Until then…………..

Zephyr says:

You don’t have to go all the way to a Rogue if you want AWD. You can get a Qashqai with AWD

katieducky23 says:

She’s great! Idk why everyone is being hateful .

syed Nawaid says:

soolly 357 says:

I really wanted to get one, but ended up getting an Altima instead just because i need more room in the back for my kids.

I’m looking to buy a car for my younger cousin who’s currently in college. I want to know if this is a good option?

I honestly was going to buy it today but I walked out when I saw it only has 125hp. NISSAN!!! YOU COULDNT DO 150HP???

Charles allen jr says:

Nissan now has three subcompact SUV’s The Kicks, Juke and Rogue Sport. That’s interesting.

William Geron says:

What an ugly Versa Note crossover. To think it is built from the Versa platform they would change it up. So the Turbo charged Juke gets replaced by a boring hatchback? Hopefully Europe’s 2nd Gen Juke blows this out of the water…way to go Europe keeping the Juke alive!

John Cosico says:

That back seat looks so uncomfortable. “When I need room I’ll just tuck my feet under the seat” by the time you commute from SF to LA you’ll have to amputate your leg….. it’s like the mustang back seat it’s useless.

Rajinder Singh says:

In India, they have just launched the kick which is bigger and wider than the international version. Let see what price they announce.

g man says:

Can you get this beauty with a 6 speed Manual transmission?

biz4two biz4 says:

Hi Lyn!! I really liked your review style. Especially the back seat humor…LOL!! Keep up the fabulous job!!

It is always nice to get the perspective from a woman. HINT: other women like that. LOL!!

Charles allen jr says:

Even though the Nissan Kicks is the new sub-compact SUV (competing with the Mazda CX-3, Honda HR-V, Chevy Trax, Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Kona, and Kia Stonic, Subaru Crosstrek) It’s really closer in competition to the Kia Soul and Toyota C-HR because those are FWD only. The others have the option of AWD.

Drago Norka says:

great looking car with a lawn mover engine….

sky peters says:

Maybe with this one you can close the trunk
