Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. celebrated two important milestones in September: the production of Nissan’s 150 millionth vehicle, and the start of production of the new Nissan LEAF, the second generation of the world’s best-selling electric car.
It took 73 years for Nissan to produce its first 100 million vehicles after the company was founded in 1933. It took only another 11 years to reach 150 million.
The global achievement represents the contributions of all Nissan employees around the world and the company’s momentum as it rolls out the new Nissan LEAF, representing the future direction of Nissan Intelligent Mobility.
