In his CES keynote, Nissan chairman of the board and chief executive officer Carlos Ghosn announced several technologies and partnerships as part of the Nissan Intelligent Mobility blueprint for transforming how cars are driven, powered, and integrated into wider society. These technologies will advance mobility toward a zero-emission, zero-fatality future on the roads.

At Nissan. We don’t just imagine. We do.

Peter Jespersen says:

Cortana integration will mean Windows-only integration – no thanks, i take my life and vehicle, to serious for that.

Nigel Wickenden says:

Disappointed that the new Leaf was not announced for sale within a couple of months. Nissan will be losing market share to the Chevrolet Bolt and others that have newer technology and greater range. I have a regular 280 mile each way journey and need 160 miles at 80% battery charge.

Alberto Knox says:

I do prefer Apple’s Siri to MS Cortana. Having said that, i have had a wonderful experience with my 2011 LEAF but at almost 80,000 miles I am getting ready to think about a new one. Every bit of extra range you can offer helps. Living in a hot climate it is important to me that the battery of the new LEAF has better thermal management. An optional small auxiliary engine as in the BMW i3 is something I would definitely buy.

Thanks for listening.

Feras Tamimi says:

This is epic!

Miguel Silva says:

The beauty of an EV is the lack of maintenance, but using that shitty AI software you’ll be waiting for next update for some vulnerability or bug fixes, or even stuck in an outdated trashware in the middle of car’s lifespan…

Felipe Ramírez says:

Amazing car!!!

Tashi Tsering says:

How come if he manages both Renault & Nissan-Renault Zoe upgraded the battery and that upgraded battery can be installed in old models but Nissan Leaf upgraded 30kwh cannot be installed in older models-bummer!!! Hence, old Nissan leaf models are losing values so quick nobody wants to own. So, people are wary of buying Nissan Leaf.

Funky Dunky says:

Embrace Big brother.

AUTONOMOUS, 100% ELECTRIC AND CONNECTED CAR -THAT’S THE WAY TO GO FOR THE GLOBAL CAR INDUSTRY !
YOU CAN DRIVE WHEN YOU WANT TO AND YOU CAN LET THE CAR DRIVE YOU WHEN YOU ARE IN A CITY IN HEAVY TRAFFIC….
CONNECTING THE CAR YOU CAN START TO BE PRODUCTIVE IN IT, OR JUST LET THE CAR DRIVE YOU AS YOU ARE READING A NEWSPAPER OR DOING SOMETHING ELSE.
AND WITH THE ELECTRIC CAR YOU CAN DRIVE INSIDE CITIES WITHOUT EMITTING CO2 OR NOX.
NO NOISE, NO VIBRATIONS WHEN DRIVING THE ELECTRIC CAR …AND NISSAN WITH ITS PARTNER RENAULT IS REALLY WELL ADVANCED ON ELECTRIC CAR TECHNOLOGY.

Steve McCormack says:

Don’t wish to be negative but Nissan introducing that Hybrid gas-electric car they mentioned in Japan – seems like a retro step. Like they lost focus a bit from giving us a fully electric LEAF with 200 mile range. Maybe they got bogged down on the battery issue. I have suspected that for some time now. All that Autopilot stuff is great but 200 mile range at affordable price for everyone is more important right now. They need to do a Henry Ford and get it out to the masses. Ghosn did mention that they were no longer concerned about developing batteries in-house as there are so many battery makers now to choose from. So why don’t they deliver a 200 mile range LEAF?

Mervin Flores says:

Microsoft this, Microsoft that. While they are using Apple Computer on stage lmao.

FDK says:

In 2030, 100% of new cars will be electric. The reason is that once we solve the battery problem there is no reason to use oil anymore. And we are very close to solving the battery problem already, by 2022 new cars will regularly have 300+ miles of range and much more isn’t needed. At that time charging infrastructure will also be ubiquitous, including slow chargers even for apartment dwellers.
Also, batteries drop in price like crazy which creates more demand and more incentives to push development more. By 2030 EVs will be cheaper than fossil cars and have better performance overall.

dozeyy says:

I love the humaniod(human robot), they use for the presentation from 25:30. Technology has come a long way!

Leonaristo says:

Really fascinating and exciting. Hope Nissan can bring these intelligent technologies to production cars sooner than their target.

TheMonkeySakura says:

BLABLABLA
All that autonomous BS just add weight and reduce the performances of the car !

Cliente Nissan Insatisfeito says:

NÃO COMPREM VEÍCULOS DA NISSAN EM LOJAS MULTIMARCAS NO BRASIL. VOCÊ NÃO TERÁ RESPALDO DA MONTADORA.

Peter Chang says:

In my thought, total autonomy’s driving of personal cars, will more depended on a command-center control like highway systems, just like trains, instead of totally depending on the individual cars. Of course, the individual car has to be equipped with essential functionalities which can make them to plug into and be controlled by such road systems. Autonomous driving is more about interactions between different cars, instead of driving.

FDK says:

Please drop that Cortana BS
