Rouge Platform? Does it mean its performance will be significantly compromised?
I like the Idx concept. Nissan can do a very good Fwd Chassises. I wish they could make it Rwd. I think if Kia makes the gt4 the Idx and the brz/frs may be slicing a limited market to thin.
Great job Nissan! The IDX is perfect to bring youth to the brand. I am 16 and I wouldn’t ever want a Nissan (except maybe 370z). But that has all changed with the intro of the IDX!
IDx looks interesting but the angles are so harsh……
I want an IDx badly. Preferably with a manual transmission and a small turbocharged engine
Yea it needs to be manual it’s such a clean car and it needs to be RWD
This is by far the best automotive news channel.
Made on the Rogue platform? I hope that does not mean the IDx Freeflow will be FF (Front engine, Front-wheel drive). FR (Front engine, Rear-wheel drive) should not be difficult given the Rogue makes allowances for AWD, so an FR drive train should be easy enough to do.
It would be [not good] for Nissan to make a car deliberately evocative of one of their highly regarded and remembered FR compact cars, expected to go toe-to-toe with FT-86/FR-S/BRZ, fall into the space left overtly vacant by the absence of the 240SX, but make it FF instead. That would be [not good] indeed.
If Nissan builds that concept based on the rouge platform, it will be basically a FWD or AWD… Thus it won’t be a direct competition to the Toyota 86.
